What is Parkzilla?

Parkzilla is a Reservation based Marketplace of individual parking spots for automobiles. The parking spots are provided by individuals or businesses who have parking available at set times of their choosing and at their prices. Someone requiring parking in a given area can use the Mobile App to search for currently open spots, or, if planning a future trip, parking spaces that will be available when they need them. The user is then able to book the parking space, thus securing a hassle free parking experience. There are options for booking once, and for repeat bookings. Once a given booking's timeframe is over Parkzilla will process the payment from the Renter to the Provider.

How do drivers use it?

The Mobile App allows a traveler to search for and find parking spots either around their current location or final destination. You can review, see pricing and availability, and finally book the spot that fits your needs. You then can use your mobile device's GPS to navigate directly to your spot providing you hassle free destination parking.

How can I become a Renter?

You register on the Parkzilla website and provide your payment information to our 3rd party payment processor. Once you are confirmed you can book any parking spot directly from within the app in simply and quick process.

Where do the Parking Spots come from?

Private Parking Spots come from anyone or any business that wants to rent a legal parking spot or spots. If you are a home owner, renter or business owner and you have parking that you don't always need you can register as many of those parking spots as you wish with The Parkzilla Marketplace. Each registration has many details about it such as location, size, available times, and a photo. By providing this information you make your parking spots available for Rent. After that simply keep each parking spot's schedule up to date.

  • Individuals - Do you live in an urban area, near a popular shopping district or event location? By registering your driveway spots you can make extra income year around from shoppers and event goers.
  • Businesses - Does your business have private parking? Is your business closed at any time during the day? If so you can utilize Parkzilla to make money from your parking spots when your business is closed. Just register some or all of your spots and begin to make extra money during your off hours.
  • Urban Business Owners - Is your business located in an urban shopping area? Do your customers love your services and/or products but have a hard time finding somewhere to park? If the surrounding home owners became aware of Parkzilla do you think they would register their driveways? I do and here's why. They don't like having the constant traffic circling their neighborhood any more than the drivers like driving around the neighborhood. If enough individuals registered their driveways the traffic patterns would decrease as more drivers would find a place to park quicker. Your business would become an easier location to visit.
  • Event Planners - Is one of your check list items managing parking? Do you struggle each year with complaints from the surrounding neighborhood? Do event goers complain that there is never enough parking? What if you could offer those neighbors an opportunity to make a little money during your event - would you? What if you could immediately improve your event goer's parking experience - would you? If the answers are yes then Parkzilla can help. By promoting the use of Parkzilla for your event you could solve all of these problems.

I have a spot, how does this help me?

The Parkzilla Marketplace is designed from the ground up to quickly and easily solve parking needs large or small. For Individuals or Businesses the system allows you to make available and make money from any parking spots that you control when you don't need them for your own purposes. The Scheduling process allows providers to set pricing for each schedule. For example you can raise or lower prices based on time of day, time of the year or for just one day/night because of an event in your local area.

How can I become a Provider?

You register on the Parkzilla website and then sign up to become a provider. Each spot has certain attributes like the address, a picture, the size, etc. that need to be filled out. Once you complete that process your location(s) are available based on the schedule you have setup for that particular parking spot.

How does the scheduling work?

The system allows the providers to schedule the available dates and times when a particular parking spot can be used. For example if you live near an urban shopping district but work elsewhere during the week you might setup your driveway to be available Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm. This way your driveway is your driveway when you need it but can make you some money and provide a service to the community when you don't need it. You have the ability to change a parking spot's schedule at any time. Any changes will still respect a reserved spot unless the details fall within the allowable provider cancellation policy.

I like it but what about the money?

Parkzilla provides a marketplace for providers and renters of parking spots. For this service Parkzilla charges 30% of the price set by the provider down to a minimum of $0.50/booking. For example if a provider charges $4/hr they would receive $2.80 and Parkzilla would receive $1.20 for that hour. For this fee Parkzilla handles the listing service and contracts with a third party payment processor to insure that your financial payment details are safe.

I'm uncomfortable providing my Information like home address.

Parkzilla takes your privacy very seriously and has designed the system to shield your address details from anyone who is not a registered user. When you first download the Mobile App but before you have registered and/or logged in the user is unable to see the details of the individual private parking spots. They can see a high level view of a given area that gives them a sense of the number and distribution of available parking spots. If they attempt to zoom in on the map the private spots will not show at any level that will give them a way to "see" where an individual spot is. They are able to see the public parking garages and can still use the application for that basic function. The individual parking spot listings will have the address but not your name, phone number or any other identifiable information.
